COUNSELING/THERAPY
Counseling/Therapy can provide a space to solve problems and heal wounds. It can be a place of hope and new beginnings. Within a trusting, collaborative relationship with the right counselor, it can provide structure for people to build strengths, support, and resources, and to discover solutions. It can also be a place to continue to grow and learn more about yourself.
Sessions can be in-person or online via telehealth.

SCHOOL-BASED SERVICES
Students who are mentally healthy are more likely to arrive at school prepared to learn, participate actively in classroom activities, form supportive and caring relationships with adults and other students, apply the right problem-solving techniques, display nonaggressive behaviors, and contribute to a positive school climate. The Layne Center for Therapy, Education, and Assessment aids in the development of mental health initiatives in schools.

ASSESSMENTS & TESTING
A mental health assessment is an important diagnostic tool that can help you get the treatment you, or your child, might need.
A mental health assessment is not a test or an exam. It is about helping you. You only have to talk about what you want to talk about. The more open and honest you are, the easier it will be to get you on the best path to wellness.

FIELD RESEARCH NORMING OPPORTUNITIES
Every few years, publishers of intelligence tests, behavior rating scales, achievement tests, and adaptive behavior rating scales re-norm the tests, a process that involves testing a representative sample of the individuals for whom the test is designed. In order to have a representative sample of all of the individuals for whom the test is intended, publishers must include people of different races and abilities in their norming samples.
