Layne Center courses are founded on more than 20 years of experience, peer-reviewed research, training, and education that has been shared with educators, clinicians, and the general public in various states, and local conventions.

Our mission is to de-stigmatize mental health services and make supporting individuals’ social and emotional well-being the norm in our community.


For 20+ years, Dr. Milsap has worked with school systems, families, and individuals to create pathways to good mental health and academic success. This coursework is built on practical and learned experience.


Our goal is to help create compassionate school communities where students feel engaged, supported, and connected in order to combat students’ stress, trauma, and mental illness.


Dr. Milsap has assisted educational and behavioral agencies and state education systems in restructuring schools in positive ways. Her experience includes using techniques for linking assessments to interventions.
